Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert

Due to the risk of COVID-19, currently we are NOT accepting walk in clients.

We require patients to attend their appointment alone.
If a carer or support person is required, please discuss with our team at the time of booking, patients are limited to one adult person attending with them.

=> Have you been diagnosed with COVID-19?

=> Have you had close contact with someone with COVID-19?

=> Do you have the following symptoms?

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sore throat

If you answered yes to any of these questions, please do not come to the clinic, however we would welcome a call to discuss our services – although make sure we know of your COVID-19 situation.

If you suspect you or a family member has COVID-19 you should call (not visit) your GP or call the national hotline on 1800 020 080.

Details of our Plan

Body DEXA Fit has introduced new screening measures to Keep People Safe. We have adopted Safe Work Australia guidelines.

There are 3 Key things we are doing to maintain a safe working practice.

  • Maintaining Good Hygiene
  • We Stay Physically Distant
  • Following Advice


  • We have set up alcohol-based hand sanitiser stations at entry and exit points
  • We sanitise touched areas and surfaces after each client
  • Frequently touched surfaces including DEXA Scan, scales, Stadiometer, counters, handrails, doors, phones, keyboards and EFTPOS facilities are regularly cleaned
  • We have hand washing posters in the bathroom for staff and customers to follow


  • Clients have been scheduled to arrive a precise time to avoid interaction with other clients and allow time for Maintaining Good Hygiene
  • Our schedule has factored social distancing of clients relative to the clinics size, including total size (84sqm), waiting room (31sqm) and DEXA scan room (18sqm). Our schedule allows for 6 concurrent clients in the clinic to comply with guidelines
  • Waiting areas have been designed to comply with social distancing guidelines
  • We have Physical Distancing posters in plain sight to guide people
  • Face masks are to be worn when it is not possible to keep 1.5 metres distance from other people


  • We have developed a plan, website pages and forms to clearly communicate our change of practices
  • We have included a screening process in our online capabilities to minimise the risk of contact with a COVID-19 infected person

RESPONSE should there be a COVID-19 infection

  • Body DEXA Fit will consult the Safe Work Australia website for guidelines on what to do if we are concerned about a worker or client in relation to COVID-19.
  • We have printed Safe Work Australia’s infographic and located in a visible location.
  • We have a plan for where we will isolate someone if need be, how to notify relevant authorities, how we can get our office and workspace cleaned and how we will identify who has had contact with the infected person.
